Conshohocken native Pfc. Stephen W. Jaworski entered the service on January 3 1942. He took his basic training at Camp Wheeler Ga and was transferred to Fort Custer Michigan and served with a infantry unit.


In September 1944 Pfc. Stephen Jaworski fought alongside men of the 11th Infantry Regiment along the Moselle River in France during World War II, he died trying to cross the Moselle River in the small village of Noveant, which is between Dornot and Arnaville.
