"Eddie"

Edward enlisted into the Army on August 3, 1938 during World War II. He was assigned to Battery "F" 64th Coast Artillery at Fort Shafter, Hawaii with uniformed land operators. He was discharged on August 2, 1941 and then re-enlisted in January,1942 after the Pearl Harbor Attack.  His second enlistment was in the Normandy, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe Campaigns. 

During his service Edward received the European, African and Middle Eastern theater ribbons and Four Bronze Stars.

Edward, after discharge, married a young Army widow, Helen and started a family with her and her young son.  They enjoyed life together having two more daughters and settled in Bethlehem, PA
