Justin graduated May 2010 from Santa Fe High school and joined the air force in November 2010 

The Air Force was Justin's whole world, his sole goal was to succeed and proudly serve his country. SSgt Justin Allen Gavin was the Unit Safety Representative with the 668th Alteration and Installation Squadron at Lackland Air Force Base (AFB) in San Antonio, Texas. He was responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the unit's safety program and also planned and organized safety training for members to promote mishap prevention and risk mitigation. He was the lead designer and implementer for the Special Operations medical training facility at Fort Bragg. North Carolina. Soon after Sergeant Gavin deployed to Air Base 201, Agadez, Niger, where he participated in the largest troop labor effort in Air Force history and became a founding member of the 31st Expeditionary RED HORSE Squadron. 

On July 17, 2022, Justin lost his battle with his demons, rest in peace soldier.
