Named in honor of Army Ranger Stephen Szever

August 11, 1970 - May 4, 2021

Stephen was a Whitehall High School graduate that lived in Allentown most of his life. Coming from a military family, Steve proudly signed up to serve his country with the US Army and he served with the premier special operation force the 75th Ranger Regiment, which was attached to Special Forces. Steve was assigned to Bravo Company (Buffalo Soldier), 1st Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd BDE, 1st Cavalry Division. Steve deployed very early after 9/11 as one of the first boots on ground to serve in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. He was very proud of his service and his family heritage in the Military.

Stephen enjoyed the camaraderie and friendship with his fellow Veterans, volunteering much of his time with the Tails of Valor – Paws of Honor organization and was also a member of Porter Lodge #284 F&AM. Honoring his father’s passing, his services were held on the 10th anniversary of his father's death. Stephen's father and grandfather both served our country. We will never forget, God Bless America.
